WhyMy Heart Bleeds.

For the children without a place to called home! My heart bleeds.
For the suffering masses in the Continent called Africa & all over the world, I bow in tears!
And what shall I say about those that lost their lives in fight for justice and fairness in my Country, In Kenya, In Uganda etc?
They fought for their human right
They wanted good governance
They clamoured for sustainable environment
Yet, their voices seemed unrecognised. . . until they died!

Then, I begin to ponder in my heart "Is there hope at all for Africa? and, is there hope that things would work out well?"

But now, I know that there is Hope
Looking beyond my today, I see a brighter future
I see the Millennieum Development Goals (MDGs) bringing positive relief and changes.
Then, would my heart bleed no more.

Life Is A Gift . . .

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, "If I could only see the world, I will marry you."

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.

He asked her,'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?'The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left her in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: 'Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine.'

This is how the human brain often works when our status changes.

Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.

Life Is a Gift

Today before you say an unkind word - Think of someone who can't speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife - Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion.

Today before you complain about life - Think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before you complain about your children - Think of someone who desires children but they're barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn't clean or sweep - Think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job - Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another - Remember that not one of us is without sin and we all answer to one MAKER.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down - Put a smile on your face and thank GOD you're alive and still around

Make this ur NOTE and watchwords for the year and our lives will be better...Please Copy and Forward this note to all ur friends...take time out to make our world a better place...only takes a few seconds to do this.

Best Regards!

It Doesn't Matter

Are you Aged?
Young and Vibrant?
Dynamic or Feeble?
White or Black?
It doesn't matter who you are!
Nor does it matter where you belong.
A little deed of love & kindness shown to the less-privileged ones around you could cause a once saddened face to glow with pride. It could brighten their vision and rekindle their aspirations!

"But I don't have much, I'm not rich" you might mutter, well, It doesn't matter too.
A smile from you to the discouraged could make a difference; a closer interaction to the down-trodden and forsaken could speak volume. And if you've got some gifts of love to render, why not do it, extend it, Because you might be meeting the need of someone out there. . . . .who would eternally appreciate you for it.

So, let your love so shine, because that is what really counts! (http://gallery.takingitglobal.org/Olowotee/25909)

Note: Achieving the Millennium Development Goals begins with YOU.

The Pencil

The Pencil

"The Pencil Maker took the pencil aside, just before putting him into the box.

"There are 5 things you need to know," he told the pencil, ".Before I send you out into the world. Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best pencil you can be."

1. You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in someone's hand.

2. You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, but you'll need it to become a better pencil.

3. You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.

4. The most important part of you will always be what's inside.

5. On every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark. No matter what the condition, you must continue to write.

This is reminding you that we all need to constantly be sharpened and hoping that this parable encourages you to know that you are a special person, with unique God given talents and abilities and that only you can fulfil the purpose which you were born to accomplish. Never allow yourself to get discouraged and think that your life is insignificant and cannot be changed."

Happy New Year to you once again, and thank you for visiting my Page. I hope to visit yours someday. lol. . .
