Visit To A Remand Home

The Remand Home is a place to which a judge may send a child or young person who has broken the law, either on remand or as punishment.

I was priviledged to visit one recently in my locality-Lagos Nigeria. A home for the juveline deliquents. It was a BOYS Home. I never knew it existed around me, until I found out that day! The were pretty young to be kept away from their parents, I thought! The least of them was 8 YEARS OLD and the oldest 16years!. It was my first experience and I had a nice time despite the fact that I wasn't permitted to discuss with any of these deliquents, because of the fear of the Press. I was only able to discuss with their instructors and ask my questions from them. I look forward to a time when I would be permitted to have some chat with these young ones and DELINQUENTS.
